Pumpkin Patch
We’ve enjoyed watching their pumpkin patch grow all season long each time we visit to buy groceries. The ones we could see from the road were impressively huge!
Here’s a list I found online of the type of pumpkins they were selling:
- Polar Bear
- Jack-O-Lantern
- Scarface
- Cinnamon Girl
We chose a medium sized pumpkin for our son’s Jack-o’-lantern he carved this year.
Once you have an organic, farm fresh pumpkin like this, you’ll never buy one in a grocery store again. The pumpkin seeds were absolutely delicious!
Activities to Enjoy
Green Life Produce did an amazing job with all the activities they had this year. I’ll start the list off with my favorite.
1. Photo Booth
I couldn’t resist taking a million photos of my boys in front of the adorable photo booth Green Life Produce curated!
2. Live Music with Ray Ligon
The live music was a beautiful touch to set the mood for all the families gathering to laugh, play and pick their favorite pumpkins.
We knew we were in for a treat when we heard the country music artist and singer/songwriter, Ray Ligon, was going to be at the Pahrumpkin Patch this year.
You can check out his website to listen to his music or follow him on Facebook to find out where he’ll be next!
3. Trick or Treating & Spooky Things
The Halloween decorations didn’t disappoint! Green Life Produce went all out with their haunted graveyard and a GIANT skeleton.
The children had a blast trick or treating at this spooky pumpkin patch.
4. Pumpkin Carving Contest
Although we didn’t take part, the pumpkin carving contest was fun to watch. Maybe next year we’ll give it a shot!
Here’s what the winners received:
- 1st place – $200
- 2nd place – $150
- 3rd place – $50
5. Games for All Ages
Our son is always excited to visit Green Life Produce so he can play all the games they have in front of their farm store.
If you need to stock up on some produce or meat, you really need to check out their store and let the kids play outside while you shop!
It was great to see they added a few new games and toys for the kids at the Pahrumpkin Patch.
6. Face Painting
Hands down, this was the most popular activity for the kids. I don’t think the artist ever took a break!
Our son gave her a fun challenge when he asked for Optimus Prime.
She nailed it!
Tips for Parents
1. Arrive early for the best parking and first choice of pumpkins!
2. Dress the kids for pictures!
The pumpkin patch was absolutely perfect for some adorable photos of the kids. Bring a costume for the trick or treating after you get the shots you want.
3. After pictures, get in line for face painting!
The line was always long. Have mom or dad (or grandma in our case) wait in line while the kids play.
4. Bring a sturdy stroller or wagon for the little ones!
There’s a lot of rocks and dirt no matter where you’re at in Pahrump so it’s just a good idea to bring something sturdy.
Our baby wagon always comes in handy for events like this. My six-month-old loves using his nursing pillow to comfortably sit up while we stroll (bump) around.
5. Bring a cooler!
The Farm Store is extremely impressive with how much they now sell. Produce, meat, eggs, cheese, salads, butter, jam, sauces, pasta, snacks, the list could go on and on. You’ll want to bring a cooler to keep everything cool while you enjoy the pumpkin patch.
My son’s grandparents were in town and loaded up their cooler to take some groceries home with them all the way back to another state. They had their hearts set on trying as much of the BH Premium Meat as possible.
We received a call the night they got home that they already cooked some steaks. The meat did not disappoint!
Thank You for Reading!
Our family can’t wait to attend future Pahrumpkin Patches at Green Life Produce. If you’re in Las Vegas, this pumpkin patch is worth making the drive to see every year.
