Shatoya McCoy from M.I.G. Crafts & Hobbies held her first FREE painting workshop in Pahrump on October 19, 2024.
You heard that right! Free.
We usually don’t hear about these wonderful types of events since we do not have accounts on most social media sites.
Imagine our excitement when Shatoya walked up to us to personally invite us with a flyer for her event, Halloween Mini Pumpkin Painting, while we were visiting the park a couple days prior.
How cool is that?
I really miss the 90s when hearing about an event didn’t require an online account. Call me old fashioned but those were the good old days.
Shatoya’s determination to make sure everyone knew about her painting workshop is much appreciated!
Our Family’s Experience at the Halloween Painting Workshop in Pahrump
When we first arrived, we were greeted with a big smile from Shatoya and invited to choose any pumpkin on the tablecloths she had laid out for the children.
The time and effort she put into planning and executing this painting workshop was extremely evident.
All of the decorative leaves were glued onto the tablecloths for an extra special touch that this mama absolutely loved. It was such a welcoming set up for the children!
My son grabbed a paintbrush, paint, some googly eyes and went right to work!
In a small town, it can be hard finding fun activities for my five-year-old son.
Shatoya saw a need within our community and offered a wonderful experience that any child could take part in.
She truly put her whole heart into this event!
We left the park that day feeling extremely grateful to be a part of such an amazing community. Our family can’t wait to attend more of her workshops!
